TRAIN is a women's only small group weight lifting class led by NASM Personal Trainer, Katie Sitzman. Each 60 minute session provides a comprehensive full body workout, concentrating on essential movement patterns and accessory lifts. The programming is designed to foster functional strength and promote hypertrophic response. Classes are intentionally limited in size to ensure effective coaching on form and alignment. TRAIN takes place at BritZa Center for Performing Arts and is available multiple days and times each week. TRAIN is appropriate for all fitness levels, although familiarity with foundational movement patterns (squat, hinge, push and pull) is recommended.
Strength training, in all its forms, has been a passion of mine for over a decade. As a former long-course triathlete and marathon runner I learned, early on, that weight training was a vital component of performing my best and staying injury-free. Today, as a Personal Trainer and active mom over 40, my focus has shifted from shaving seconds off race times to building muscle for optimal hormone health and increased metabolic efficiency. My goal, through TRAIN, is to empower women of all ages to pick up heavy weights and shift the narrative from chasing small to growing strong.
